I am amazed by the response and enthusiasm shown by the students. I am aslo impressed by the skills aquired by these students like Yoga, Singing, Yuddha( Stick fight) etc. What impressed me most is the kind of logical questions asked by the students. Honestly I have not come across these kind of questions by the students of well established English medium schools. The camp was for 5 days.

On 21st May I, Appaji and R.Srinivas met Smt Sudha of Woodlands hospital. She promised us that she would devote some time regularly to advise girl students of blind students hostel on health and hygene. She strongly feels that if the youth is going in wrong direction, their parents are to be blamed for wrong brought up. Parents should be models to children. She narrated some instances where some parents used to ask their children to bring cigarettes and liquor for them nad ultimately children also imbibed those habits. Mr Srinivas is also encoraged to go to two more hostel every week.

On last Saturday (23/07/2005) I went to DUS blind School and told them about Gurupoornima. How a guru is important in ones life. I told them a story of Samarth Ramadasji and Shivaji ( Maratha Ruler). Shivaji placed all his kingdom at the feet of his guru Ramadasji. Ramadasji in turn commands him to rule the country as his representative under the Bhagwa Dhwaj ( Saffron Flag- a symbol of sacrifice). This story also mentions how Shivaji's ego was subtly humbled by this great guru.

May: I ahve taken Speed maths classes for about 180 students from orphanages/ affection homes and hostels for the tribals and others run by Sevabarati in Western Andhrapradesh.
